Instruction and after care following your Night Guard appointment

The information provided here is general information in which some parts may not apply in your case. This information is not replacing the specific information provided to you prior, during and after your dental procedure.

  • Please use your Night Guard every night after brushing your teeth and before going to bed. In the morning, you may remove your Night Guard and wash it under tap water and place it inside the container provided. If you stop using the Night Guard every night, it may not fit due to your teeth movement.
  • Should you feel any discomfort such as excessive pressure when using Night Guard, please let us know for adjustment.
  • To clean your Night Guard, do not use tooth brush or tooth paste as these are abrasive causing micro scratches resulting in more stain accumulation over time. You may use tap water with soap using your finger. Alternatively from time to time you may use denture cleaners available over the counter through your local pharmacy to clean the Night Guard.
  • Please keep Night Guard in the container provided when it is not in use and keep it in safe place not accessible to pets or kids. You or a friend’s dog can chew on the Night Guard causing damage to it.
